Custom Domain

A custom domain lets artists use their own URL (e.g., links.artistname.com) for their Lynkify smart links and bio pages instead of the default lynkify.in domain.

Custom Domain

Definition

By default, Lynkify smart links and bio pages use the lynkify.in domain. With a custom domain, you can use any domain you own — for example, links.yourname.com or bio.yourbandname.com — for all your public-facing Lynkify pages.

Custom domains are a branding decision as much as a functional one. Press contacts, managers, and industry professionals who receive links from yourname.com see a more professional, established presence than from a third-party tool domain.

Why it matters

A custom domain is the difference between sharing 'lynkify.in/r/your-release' and 'music.yourname.com/r/your-release'. For artists building a professional brand, custom domain links appear in press kits, EPKs, and industry communications where presentation matters.

How Lynkify uses this

Custom domains are available on Lynkify Artist and Label plans. After domain verification, all your smart links and bio pages automatically serve from your custom domain. The path structure remains consistent — your fans see familiar URLs even after you add a custom domain.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy a new domain for Lynkify?
You can use any domain you already own. Most artists use a subdomain (e.g., links.artistname.com) so their main website remains separate. You point the subdomain to Lynkify's servers through your domain registrar's DNS settings.
