How to Connect Mailchimp to Your Fan CRM

Connecting Lynkify to Mailchimp creates an automatic pipeline: a fan signs up on your smart link or bio page, their email appears in your Lynkify Fan CRM, and syncs automatically into a Mailchimp audience. From there, your welcome sequence fires and the relationship begins. Here is how to set it up.

1. Upgrade to the Lynkify Artist plan

CRM integrations (Mailchimp, Kit, Klaviyo, Brevo) are available on the Artist plan and above. If you are on the Free plan, upgrade in your workspace billing settings before following the remaining steps.

2. Get your Mailchimp API key

Log in to Mailchimp. Go to Profile → Extras → API Keys. Click 'Create a Key.' Copy the API key — you will need it in the next step. Keep this key private. Anyone with this key can read and write to your Mailchimp account.

3. Connect Mailchimp in your Lynkify workspace

In your Lynkify workspace, go to Settings → Integrations. Find Mailchimp and click Connect. Paste your API key and click Verify. Lynkify will confirm the connection and list your available Mailchimp audiences (lists). Select the audience where you want new fan captures to sync.

4. Map your Fan CRM fields

After connecting, verify that Lynkify fan fields (first name, email, source tag, location) are mapped to the correct Mailchimp merge fields. Email is mandatory. Name is recommended. Source tag (which smart link or page brought them in) is valuable for segmentation in Mailchimp.

5. Test the connection

Submit a test email through one of your capture forms. Open your Mailchimp audience and confirm the test contact appeared. Check that all mapped fields came through correctly. If the contact does not appear within 5 minutes, review your API key and audience selection in Lynkify workspace integrations.
